Grant a few permissions

macOS gates each of these. Click Open Settings, flip the toggle next to Lirelle, then come back — this page checks automatically.

Microphone

Lirelle records your voice for dictation and meetings. Transcription happens in the cloud by default for speed, or fully on your Mac if you switch on Local Mode.

Granted
Accessibility

Used to paste the transcript into the app you're working in and to register the dictation hotkey.

Input Monitoring

Lets Lirelle watch for the modifier hotkey (Right Option by default) so you can hold-to-talk anywhere.

Screen Recording Meetings only

Required only to capture system audio from the other side of a call. Dictation works without it.
